This pair of Napoleon III applied consoles were carved in a beautiful walnut wood.
The baroque decoration uses many shapes and reliefs, which makes the light hang. On each one, a putto sits on a seat made of shells, and supports the shelf of its neck. The shells themselves stand out on coiled coats of arms, the appearance of which imitates the grain of leather. The multiple corbels thus play between the coiled leather and the shapes of the shells, in a dreamy setting.
