Louis XVI mantel with oak leaf drops falling over the jambs, which are canted and deeply grooved. The front of the entablature is covered with fluting and is flanked by heads with square rosettes. Original by its lush decorations and grey veined marble, this mantel also has an unusually concave shaped cast iron insert, crisscrossed and dotted with flowers.
