This mantel is typical of the Louis XVI style mantel : with curved sides, bold moldings, the mantel shelf and entablature nevertheless maintain their straight lines. The jambs are fluted, filleted in their lower portion and from these fillets emerge wisps of wheat , which is very typical of the Louis XVI style.
Mantel carved in green marble from Estours.
