Louis XVI period mantel with straight Neo-Classical lines in a white marble streaked obliquely with grey veins. The entablature is adorned with an oblong rosette flanked by panels framed with a delicate frieze of petals. On both sides of the entablature, the heads are decorated with square rosettes that echo the motif of the entablature. The jambs are fluted pilasters with fillets of chains of husks.
