This pair of antique Napoleon III style andirons in gilt bronze was made in the 19th century. They are adorned with lions's heads roaring and with fine acanthus leaves inspired by Louis XV style on the obelisks. The opulence of the details and of the decorations is characteristic of the Napoleon III style. The beautiful irons of these andirons are original.
