The full curved lines of this mantel are characteristic of the late Louis XIV style that appeared towards the end of the King’s reign, a period when design became more fluid and ornate. The large rounded molding below the entablature mantel refers to the Bolection mantel model. This beautiful antique Louis XIV style mantel was produced in the 19th century.
