Stucco and wood mantel mirror (Reference 9438)
Wood and stucco mantel mirror in the Louis XVI style from the 19th century. Made with four successive frames: the first a frieze of sculpted pearls, the second with two moldings one recessed the other protruding, the third a frieze of ribboned laurels, and finally another double row of moldings echoing the first. Above the frame a double crown of laurels gathered in a ribbon. The ornamentation of this mirror uses a classical Antiquity repertoire.
