Breche marble mantel with central shell motif (Reference 1128)
Regence style mantel with a relatively straight lines softened by curves, chiefly around the hearth opening. Modillions adorned the upright jambs. The entire surface of the mantel is carved with molded panel motifs.
At the center of the entablature, a strong composition of curved leaves surrounds a warm colored heart shape.

Additional information
This mantel is carved in Breche marble from Montmeyan, in the Var region in the South of France. A rare marble for fireplace mantels.
