Cast iron fountain with two putti (Reference 9292)
On a backdrop of fan like sun rays, two putti struggle to hold up a jug of water, which forms the water spout of this fountain. They stand on a rock and are framed by an arch decorated with floral emblems and topped by a shell. All the symbols of the Versailles garden statues are present. Beautiful qualité of sculpture and casting.
Origin
19th century.
