Fireplace Mantels > Marble
Red Griotte marble mantel with lion paw feet. (Reference 1205)
Inspired by a model that was very popular in the Louis XVI and Empire styles this red Griotte mantel rizes above two console shaped lion paw jambs resting on plinths. High relief moldings on the jambs, heads and entablature complete the decoration. The shelf protrudes slightly along straight lines and hearth opening creates a rectangular frame for the fire.
Origin
19th century, France.
