White marble mantel with lion paw feet (Reference 1259)
This white marble mantel is a rich example of Empire style designs. The shelf rests on large and powerful lion paw jambs that rise up to falling acanthus leaves topped by square rosettes. The center of the entablature is adorned with geometrical motifs carved in relief: with a diamond shape at the center flanked with panels.
An inner frame completes this composition.
