Pair of Louis XIV period brackets (Reference 9391)

From the second half of Louis XIVth reign, this pair of brackets are beautifully balanced. A broad curve rises up from the vertical post to the horizontal one. A motif called “pig’s tail” at the center and a few light volutes complete the harmonious composition.
Very rare to find such a pair from that period.

Origin : Very early 18th century.
