Large Louis XIV period wrought iron bracket (Reference 9392)
From the second period of the reign of Louis XIV, this large bracket is beautifully balanced, very similar to the pair referenced as item 9391. The same design : a broad curve rising up from the vertical post to the horizontal one; a motif called “pig’s tail” at the center and a few light volutes creating a harmonious composition.
Beautiful wrought iron piece, with a lightness that announces the Regence style.
Origin
Very early 18th century.
