18th century Versailles parquet flooring (Reference 9393)
This series of Versailles parquet squares represent approximately 330 square feet of flooring. There are 22 full panels and 3 (panels number 23 to 25) that have cut sides. Each panel measures roughly 39”1/4 by 39”1/4 and is 1”1/8 thick.
Alternating square and oblique motif panels all called “Versailles” because composed of 16 parts (for the oblique ones the angles count). In the 18th century this particular type of flooring was know as “Chantilly”.
