Walnut mantel with Neo-Renaissance decor (Reference 1269)
Carved in walnut wood, with a rather rare Neo-Renaissance design.
The trumeau is adorned with mascarons of women on either side of the mirror frame. A frieze of scrolls crosses above under the cornice.
The mantel is more richly decorated. With a frieze alternating triglyphs and rosettes. The console jambs rise up from lion claws to mascarons of satyrs, recognizable my their pointed beard and the small horns on their foreheads. The sides of the jambs are adorned with amazing carvings of arabesques and swags.
