Black marble mantel (Reference 1217)
This Louis XV style mantel from the 19th century is in the Pompadour style, which typically favored panel ornaments on both the canted jambs and entablature and a central oval panel. However here the shapes are more deeply underlined, the curves more pronounced especially around the hearth opening.
