The originality of this mantel resides in the tapered semi-detached columns: with flutes filled partially above with chains of husks, narrowing down to a motif of laurel leaves, followed by a succession of stylized bouquets. The jambs rise up to square rosettes, the frieze is equally adorned with filleted flutes and presents a floral central rosette, framed with moldings. The shelf is delicately molded.
Origin
Second half of the 19th century, French
