Louis XIV style grey marble mantel (Reference 1329)
Beautiful Louis XIV style 19th century mantel in Ardennes gray marble. The jambs, adorned with fluting, rise up to a slightly curved entablature. The moldings follow the curve of the hearth opening, but continue across the top of the fluted jambs, creating a capital shape. The simplicity of the panel decor on the entablature and upper third of the jambs makes for an elegant mantel, that is presented here with its original iron insert.
Origin : France, XIXème siècle
