This cast iron fireback was made in the 18th century in Louis XV style.
Two coats of arms are surmounted by a count crown. On the right : three sheaves topping a tower. On the left : fess, three flowers and three interlaced crescents.
The interleaving can be referring to Henry II : the first two croissants are an H stylisaded. The last one allude to the crescent of Diana the Huntress, but also Diane de Poitiers, who was the King's mistress.
