The marble of this fireplace mantel is called "fleur de pêcher" (peach flower). Classical design of scrolled fluted jambs with rosettes on either end of the entablature, which is decorated with a frieze.
The mantel was narrowed by the former owners. See photo of detail.
Fleur de pêcher marble or Fior di Pesco is from Serravezza in the Carrare region, Italy.
