This beautiful antique Louis XV style fireplace was realized in Breche d'Alep marble in the 19th century. This rare marble is of exceptional quality and is extremely decorative. The sculptural decoration of this antique fireplace is a great delicacy: the banner is decorated in its center with a Rocaille shell. The shapely legs are decorated with shells reversed.
This antique fireplace is sold with its original cast iron insert with the curtain. The marble floor is broken and stained but could be restored.
