Antique overmantel pierglass made out of lacquered wood in the 19th century. On a red background, the decor of golden, brown and white lacquer represents flowering branches inhabited by birds. The technique of lacquer, the colors used and the ornamental vocabulary used are directly inspired by the 18th-century "chinoiserie".
The frzme, decorated in the same way, are provided with two sconces with two arms of light.
