This rare ceramic and solid oak mantelpiece was made around 1900 in the Art Nouveau style. It is attributed to Charles Gréber (1853 -1935), famous member of the Gréber Family, dynasty of ceramists from Beauvais (France).
An ornamentation of fauna and flora decorates it. In the central part two squirrels, the cornice is punctuated with flower buds, the detached columns with lilies and the hearth framed by a frieze of acorns and oak leaves.
All these elements are made in ceramic tiles in shades of blue or beige.

This fireplace is sold without any fireplace insert nor marble floor but could be made to order.
