This pair of Art Deco style sinks comes from the beautiful Toubiana Hotel in Boulogne-Billancourt built between 1928 and 1930 by the architect Charles Adda.
Toubiana sought the winning team of the Deauville competition in 1921. Charles Adda and the important ceramists Bourdet and Gentil built the famous Planches de Deauville and the "Pompeian Baths", which were inaugurated in 1924. The glass mosaic with silver leaf of these sinks was thus made by Bourdet and Gentil, on the drawings of Adda.
Alphonse Gentil (1872-1933) and Eugène Bourdet (1874-1852) were distinguished by numerous Art Deco style fronts inscribed in the Historical Monuments, such as the Luxor Cinema in Paris, and made important interior decorations such as the magnificent headquarters of the bank Société Générale on Boulevard Haussmann.
Charles Adda (1873-1938) drew many buildings for individuals, but also produced the fronts of the Pearls Tecla and Galerie Bernheim, and worked for the  Longchamps Racecource.
