Cast iron fireback with the Vendée coat of arms

This fireback made in the 20th century is adorned with the coat of arms of the Vendee: two interlacing hearts topped with a cross. In the middle, a Chouan, a royalist insurgent armed with a lance can be seen setting off to fight.
It bears the date of 1793, which marked the start of the War of the Vendee.
