Fireplace Mantels > Stone
There is something strong, stable and ageless about stone mantels. With their matted finish and the strength of their sculpture they are a strong and solid presence in a room. By the mid 19th century, with the rise of marble mantels, stone was less used especially around Paris. It is therefore rarer to find authentic antique stone mantels and often the ones we carry are pre-19th century.
