Good condition.
This rectangular fireback was cast in the late 19th century. It is adorned with a central medallion depicting a crowned F in a fleur-de-lis decor and framed by a crown of scallops. It is the monogram of Francis I, King of France between 1515 and 1547, of which we can find a similar model in the Château of Blois stairs.
