This Louis XIV style antique fireplace was made of an elegant red and pink veined marble in the 19th century.
This rare marble was molded with "bolection" at the bottom of the entablature, framed at the corners. The jambs are decorated with molded pilasters.
This fireplace has is original cast iron insert, also called "contre-coeur". It was decorated with motifs in the taste of the 18th century : shells, scrolls, frieze of ribboned cannes, acanthus and bouquets of flowers.
This Fireplace is sold with its original cast iron insert and its marble floor.
