This antique Louis XV style fireplace was made in the 19th century in a beautiful Fleur de Pecher marble whose veins bring a certain movement. The fluted and winding jambs support a richly carved frieze: while the ends are adorned with small shells and flowers among scrolls typical of the Rococo style, a broad foliated shell, whose sinuous forms recall the movement of the waves, is in the center. A small flower has been very finely carved beside it. The bollection, which runs through the frieze and the jambs, support the round shapes of this beautiful fireplace.
This fireplace is sold with its original cast iron insert and with its marble floor.
