This fireplace was made in the 19th century in "Rouge du Nord" (Red North) marble.
Its design corresponds to the "Pompadour" model, which belongs to the Louis XV style. The top and the front are sinuous and decorated with moldings. The jambs are scrolls shaped, and modeled pilasters.
On each sides of the chimney gilt circular hinged ventilation ports.
This fireplace is sold with an enameled insert and its marble floor .
