This antique Louis XVI period fireplace was made in the 18th century in a Red Royal marble whose veins give relief and ornament to this fireplace with straight lines. The delicately fluted jambs support a frieze decorated with patterns which evoke waves, called ""Vitruvian scrolls"". At its ends are carved two naturalistic rosettes characteristic of the style.
This fireplace is sold without any fireplace insert nor marble floor but could be made to order.
