This beautiful Directoire style fireplace was made in the 19th century in Bénou Breccia marble. The front composed of three panels is highlighted by straight molded lines. Both the front and the jambs are decorated with bronze patina ornaments (friezes of plants, cassolette, knots ...). These elements are enhanced by the shimmering Bénou Breccia marble.
The original cast iron insert is decorated in the upper and central part with a rich ornamentation of fantastic and exotic animals such as chimeras and dolphins surrounded by a frieze of plants. The rest of the composition depict foliated friezes with flowers, ending with palmettes.
This fireplace is sold with its original cast iron insert and with its marble floor.
