This exceptionally beautiful Louis XV style antique fireplace in semi-statuary Carrara marble was carved in the 19th century. The marble used is extremely white and of remarkably beautiful quality. The curved entablature is adorned in the middle with a shell and two plump acanthus leaves spread out across the length of the entablature. The curved jambs are carved with shells and acanthus leaves.
This fireplace is sold without any fireplace insert or marble floor but these could be made to order.
