This beautiful antique Louis XV style fireplace was made out of Sarrancolin marble during the 19th century. This finely sculpted piece is characteristic of the Louis XV style because of its architecture and decoration. The frieze is decorated with a central shell framed by a cartouche of curled foliage in recessed panels. The curved, paneled and canted jambs have windings with acanthus leaves and shells on both sides of the frieze. This fireplace with curved lines has imposant dimensions, especially in its width.
This fireplace is sold with its original cast iron insert but without any marble floor. This one could be made to order (ask us for marble availability).
