This beautiful antique Louis XV style fireplace was made out of Blanc de Carrare marble during the 19th century. The carved decor is elaborate. The curved entablature is decorated in the center with a reversed shell that features foliage and flowers. The curved jambs are decorated with acanthus leaves towards the top and shells towards the bottom. The sides of the fireplace are decorated with air vents.
This fireplace is sold with its original cast iron insert but without any marble floor. A marble floor could be made to order.
