This beautiful fireplace was made out of Carrara marble in the late 19th century. Its sinuous lines and its sculpted decoration is typical of the Louis XV style. Indeed, we find on the center of the serpentine entablature a beautiful sculpted motif forming a stylized flower in acanthus leaves and underlines by an oblong moulding. The console jambs also show a rich decoration finely sculpted where we can see beautiful shells supporting the scrolls on the upper parts.
This fireplace is sold with a modern cast iron insert adapted to this fireplace but without any marble floor. This one could be made to order (please ask for marble availability).
