This antique Louis XV style exceptional fireplace was realized in Onyx marble in the 19th century. Its impressive dimensions, more than two meters width, make it a piece of a real rarity. This antique fireplace is richly decorated with golden bronzes finely chiselled. The big central shell is in bronze, as well as small leaves of acanthus which furnish the banner. Jambs with rolling-up, with the hurt profile, are also decorated with bronze shells in their top and with leaves of acanthus with small flowers in their low part. This fireplace is probably a realization of the Société des Marbre Onyx d'Algérie by Eugène Cornu.
This fireplace is sold with its original cast iron insert and its three squares marble floor.
