This Louis XV style fireplace was made in Carrara marble during the second half of the 19th century. The entablature is decorated with an opulent shell in a cartouche composed by scrollwork. The curved hearth opening is lined with moldings. Resting on squared bases, jambs slightly curved are adorned in their upper parts with overturned shells.
This fireplace is sold with a modern cast iron insert adapted to this fireplace but without any marble floor. This one could be made to order (please ask for marble availability).
