This Louis XV style mantelpiece was carved in Vert d’Estours marble in the 19th century. Its lintel, with its typical curved lines, is adorned with an oval moulding in the centre, which is itself framed by two mouldings following the lines of the lintel. The jambs take the form of pilasters carved with cabling, topped with very simple capitals.
