This white marble mantel is richly adorned with a mixture of flowers, scrolls of leaves and cartouches on both the entablature and jambs. The canted jambs are lightly curved and rise up to scrolled heads.
Carved in the 19th century, this mantel is a genuine creation using the codes of the Louis XV style.
Beautifully veined Carrara marble.
