This important Empire style fireplace was realized in the second half oh the 19th century in wood, veneer mahogany, gilt bronze ornamentation and columns in Sea Green marble. It is topped with an overmantel .
The design of the chimney is sober and refined, in order to highlight the Sea Green marble columns and the gilded bronze ornaments depicting antique scenes. Thus, in the front there is Aurora in her carriage through the clouds. On either side of the overmantel are located a girl with an urn and another with a hydria and a cup. The whole composition is surmounted by a stylized palm leaf.
This fireplace is sold without any fireplace insert nor marble floor .
