This impressive "rocaille" style fireplace was realised in the 19th century in a finely carved walnut
The center of the front is made of a shell forming a half-circle. On it, two dolphins emerging from aquatic plants, are facing each other. One can notice the beauty of the sculpture, especially in their scales. Out of their mouths and from the center of the shell, sprung a waterfall.
The corners are adorned with ribboned blazon.
The high part of this fireplace is architected. The center of the trapezoidal hood is ornamented with polychrome ceramic tiles blue, green and yellow, decorated with lily flower motifs. This composition is framed by two corinthian fluted pilasters, surmounted by a frieze of acanthus and finally a molded cornice.
Each sides are in shape of columns. The top is made of a rolled console decorated with a palm above a cornice embellished with a fruit composition of apples, blackberries and cherries. The barrel is straight, moldings with a pilaster.
The full cast iron hearth is decorated with lilies, a blason and foliage.
The original paneld room is available under the 3005 reference.
This Fireplace is sold with its original cast iron , but without marble floor, it can be made to order, depending on the availability of the marble
