The shape of this wood mirror is rectangular but focused on the central oval shape created by moldings. Cartouches link the oval to the frame. The top of the frame arches up under an imposing carved pediment: two putti hold up a cartouche among foliage and volutes. Two swags fall on either side of the mirror; the corners are decorated with acanthus leaf scrolls. The sides of the frame are carved with foliage motifs and rows of pearls.
