These four wall lights made out of gilded bronze circa 1880 follow the Regency style. Each wall light is decorated with a shell featuring foliage, and is supported by curved arms decorated with acanthus leaves. The arms conjoin at a man's head whose beard winds down the bottom of the wall light and whose forehead is crowned with vine leaves and grape bunches. Standing out against a cut out background, each wall light ends with a cascade of oak leaves embellished with acorns. The bronze and chisel work is of outstanding quality and very typical of the work made during the Napoléon III period. Flawless craftsmanship was clearly followed to make this exquisite set of wall lights.
