This beautiful antique Louis XV style firescreen was made in the 19th century. It is framed by a rich decor where interweave rococo-inspired voltues. In the center, among other curves, has been very finely chiseled a dolphin. The marine theme is indeed a recurrence in the ornamental rococo vocabulary.
