Bolection marble mantel in the Louis XIV style from the 19th century with a beautiful luminous red hue of marble called Griotte. The slightly curved and carved in relief central molding runs across the entablature down the jambs to the end blocks. The Bolection modling is flanked with more discreet moldings and spandrel panels at the corners.
