« Rocaille » table from the 1930’s also called « faux-bois » meaning imitation wood. The table top is shaped and lined like a slab of wood and the leg resembles a stump, with light colored birch-like bark, warm ocher colored wood and two small pocket planters at the base. Such furniture was hand made with cement in quite an intricate process of layers. The final finer layer added the touch of color and detail.
