Still life with shells, fruit and vegetables; flowers, jewelry and musical instruments, books and a Flemish cabinet. Mid 17th century.
Michel Bouillon was born in Ere, near Tournai at an unknown date and entered the guild of Saint Luc in Tournai in 1638. He worked mainly in this city and participated in the ephemeral decorations produced for Louis XIV's visit there. Ten of his still life paintings - all with flowers - are listed.
