This high stone Neo-Gothic style mantel can be precisely dated to 1908 thanks to the year, which is inscribed on the two escutcheon of the entablature. The jambs are crowned by two angles playing musical instruments. The entablature is adorned with a scene taken from the Apocalypse. Archangel Michael is represented in all his glory with a trefoil aureole, slaying the dragon with his spear.
