Trumeau with hunting horn trophy - overmantels and mirrors

Description

Empire style trumeau divided in two parts : below, a mirror; above, a panel with a carved decor of a hunting horn and rolled charter hanging by a ribbon. The dark wood color of the decor contrasts to the paler wood of the panel. Two pilasters, garnished with grapes and rising to scrolled capitals, frame the composition. A cornice adorned with three arrows amid foliage crowns the trumeau.
